The Chesapeake Shakespeare Company is proud to include international theatre artist Isabelle Anderson to its collaboration. Isabelle has studied with several of Europe’s leading stage teachers, Jacques Lecoq, Jerzy Grotowski and Peter Brook. She has held theater faculty positions at Columbia University and New York University and currently teaches at the Academy for Classical Acting, an MFA program at The Shakespeare Theater in Washington, D.C. in conjunction with the George Washington University. An honors English Literature graduate of the University of Queensland, Australia.
Isabelle has had featured roles in films Careful He Might Hear You, Rebel and Great Expectations (with Robert DeNiro and Gwyneth Paltrow). She was also seen in several episdoes of the Australian TV series A Country Practice
As a stage actor, she has appeared with Australian state theater companies productions of: A Streetcar Named Desire (Blanche Dubois) The Playboy of the Western World (Widow Quinn) A Midsummer Nights Dream (Titania). Nicholas Nickelby (Kate Nickelby), The Pillars of the Community (Marta). Top Girls (Pope Joan). Heartbreak House (Ariadne) Macbeth (Lady Macbeth) Twelfth Night (Olivia) and created and performed one woman show (masked) New Sky

Isabelle runs the private consulting firm Performance Communication.
