“All women become like their mothers. That is their tragedy. No man does. That’s his.”

Jack is in love with Gwendolen. Algernon is in love with Cecily. Gwendolen and Cecily are each in love with Ernest. Double lives and double standards abound and delicious, plot-twisting mayhem ensues. This quintessential comedy of manners by Oscar Wilde features some of the funniest lines ever written. A hilarious farce, The Importance of Being Earnest is presented in repertory with Anton Chekhov’s Uncle Vanya. Directed by Erin Bone Steele.
