Join us for Shakespeare’s classic tale of star-crossed young lovers, Romeo and Juliet, performed on Monday, April 17, as a 110-minute matinee starting at 10 a.m. Doors will open at 9:30 a.m. All seats are $15; general admission seating.
Sumptuous costumes and dramatic sword fights help bring to life the timeless story of feuding families and tragic consequences, presented by our professional cast. Each Spring, Chesapeake Shakespeare Company performs the matinee for thousands of schoolchildren here in our beautiful theatre, from March through May. Following each performance, the audience may meet and and mingle with the actors, who are happy to answer questions about Shakespeare’s work and their own careers. This year, thanks to many donors and supporters, approximately 8,000 students will see the play.
Only one public performance is offered this season. Don’t miss it!
PARKING NOTE: The Arrow Parking Garage at the corner of Lombard and Calvert Streets has a $10 earlybird price if you enter the garage before 9:30 a.m. We encourage you to park early to take advantage of the deal. Parking in that garage is normally $21.
(CSC parking vouchers are not valid during morning performances.)
