THE TEMPEST
By William Shakespeare
Directed by Lizzi Albert
Shakespeare’s  magnificent final play of storm  and shipwreck, mystery and magic, and profound redemption is perfect for a summer’s eve in the PFI Historic Park. “We are such stuff as dreams are made on.”

Tonight, we’re getting an early start on our Fourth of July celebrations. The gates open at 4:30pm for picnicking. At 5:15pm, we’ll enjoy a reading of the Declaration of Independence by the cast of The Tempest. Our performance of The Tempest will begin at 6pm.  You bring the picnic. We’ll supply the flags!  And don’t forget: Sundays are Family Fun Days with pre-show activities for children including costume dress-up, storytelling, etc.  All ages welcome.

Thanks to generous underwriters and media partners, children’s tickets will be FREE for The TempestAdvance reservations are recommended, as these performances are expected to sell out.  Limit: two free children’s tickets (for ages 18 and under) with each paid adult ticket.  Our wonderful Free Shakespeare for Kids sponsors are BGE, M&T Bank, and the Community Foundation of Howard County. Our media partners are Baltimore’s Child magazine and the Baltimore Sun Media Group. Look for kids’ pages in the show program.
