Harford County

INDOOR PROGRAMS offered through the Town of Bel Air Events with Chesapeake Shakespeare Company teaching artists

Location: Bel Air Armory, 37 N. Main Street, Bel Air, MD 21014

The Studio at the Chesapeake Shakespeare Company will host full day in-person summer camps in Harford County this year. As the county begins to re-open following ordinances put in place by the governor, the Town of Bel Air would like to provide an outlet for many area youth this summer. Chesapeake Shakespeare Company Teaching Artists will provide age-appropriate activities and a non-competitive environment in which students grow, learn, and laugh together. There are no auditions. Each week will end with a performance for friends and family on Fridays at 3:00pm.

What You Need To Know:

Drop off and Pick Up procedures will happen in the outside back parking lot of the building. Please arrive wearing a face mask and follow directions of forming a line to keep everyone at a 6-foot distance from each other.

At arrival, there will be a temperature check and a few check in questions to ensure the safety of our campers and staff. Anyone running an abnormal fever will not be permitted to enter the building. All staff members doing intake will also wear gloves and a protective mask or face shield.

Once campers have cleared our temperature check and health questionnaire, they will be admitted into the building. Each camper will be assigned to a specific group of no more than 10 participants based on their age with whom they will work with during the week. Once in the building, campers will be able to join their group. Note: campers will be able to remove their protective masks during camp as long as they remain in their group. Each group will remain socially distant from each other throughout the day, including at lunch. Also, there are sanitizing stations throughout the building and the space has a capacity of 400 so there will be the ability to spread out.

Every participant will need to fill out an Emergency Contact Form, Health form, photo release form, and COVID-19 Liability Waiver at the beginning of the week.

Each participant will need to bring their own PEANUT-FREE lunch and any snacks they may require throughout the day.
