Love’s Labour’s Lost

Love’s Labour’s Lost
By William Shakespeare
June 28 – July 28, 2019

“Your wit’s too hot, it speeds too fast, ’twill tire.”

In this rollicking comedy filled with brilliant puns, the King of Navarre and three courtiers agree to avoid the distractions of women for three years while they study and pray. How well does that go? You can guess: The men become love-struck, back-stabbing sneaks when the beautiful Princess of France and her ladies arrive on a diplomatic mission. Bring a picnic and enjoy the laughs at Chesapeake Shakespeare Company In-The-Ruins at the PFI Historic Park.

PICNIC! Picnic tables for six,  and cafe tables-for-two, are available for rent. Also, we welcome groups and preshow receptions in the park starting 90 minutes before showtime.  For rentals and discounted advance group sales (10 or more adults), reserve by contacting Nina or Liz in the Box Office by email or by phone at 410-244-8570.

FAMILY FUN DAY:  Every Sunday is Family Fun Day with preshow activities for kids. Gates open 90 minutes before the performance for our outdoor plays.
