She Stoops to Conquer, 8pm
By Oliver Goldsmith
September 28 – October 21, 2018
“Ask me no questions, and I’ll tell you no fibs.”
Kate Hardcastle has a love problem: Her prospective fiancé is tongue-tied around women of high class but a charmer with the help. Silliness and satire follow when he mistakes Lady Kate for a serving maid – and she decides to play along. Enjoy a bawdy, witty, comic feast of practical jokes and romantic mix-ups from the 1700s.
Mead Tasting with Charm City Meadworks (at 7pm preshow)
Admission to the tasting is included with your ticket to the 8pm performance, but the 7pm tasting is open to adults only. For our head count, please RSVP Here!
Travel back in time to the 1770s with our friends at Charm City Meadworks at our very own mead tasting event! This preshow fun will take place in our Middendorf Lounge prior to today’s 8pm performance of She Stoops to Conquer. Learn about the history of mead, enjoy tasting two varieties of local mead (manufactured only one mile away from the CSC theatre!), and enjoy partying like it’s 1773 in preparation for a night of laughs and revelry. What is mead, you might ask? Mead is an alcoholic beverage made from fermenting honey and water with the help of yeast. Charm City Meadworks is Baltimore’s one and only meadery.
